GibbsCAM to Attend Autodesk University

SolidWorks Authorizes GibbsCAM as a Qualified CAM Product for SolidWorks Manufacturing Network

GibbsCAM Certified by Autodesk for Inventor 7

GibbsCAM Plays Key Role in STEP-NC Demonstration at Jet Propulsion Laboratory


Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software for programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, announced today that GibbsCAM will play a key role in facilitating the STEP-NC demonstration at the upcoming 6th Industrial Review Board to be held at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA, on January 29-30, 2003. STEP Tools Inc, (Troy, NY) will demonstrate a STEP-NC adaptor that they have implemented for GibbsCAM using GibbsCAM’s Developer Toolkit (DTK) application development software, which provides full access to GibbsCAM’s data structures and powerful capabilities. The STEP-NC adaptor converts information contained within a STEP-NC (AP238) file into GibbsCAM data structures and then uses GibbsCAM to generate toolpath and output machine-specific CNC code for JPL’s Fadal machining centers. The machining process can be visually previewed using GibbsCAM’s Cut Part Rendering integrated process simulation functionality. GibbsCAM’s Reporter functionality can be used to automatically generate corresponding process documentation.
