Mazak and Gibbs Enter Into Collaboration

Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM, CAM software for programming CNC machine tools, and Mazak-USA (Florence, Kentucky) announced today that they have entered into a strategic collaborative partnership agreement, to optimize support for Mazak's multi-task CNC machine tools, such as the Integrex, Integrex E-Series, Multiplex, Quick Turn Nexus, and Super Quick Turn (SQT) model. The companies have entered into a non-disclosure agreement which will allow them to exchange information about and collaborate on next generation solutions.

Georgia Institute of Technology Receives 70 Seats of GibbsCAM

The software, which supports 3D milling, turning, mill/turn, 4th/5th-axis positioning, and multiple CAD exchange formats has a retail value of over $655,000. The software will be installed and used in Georgia Tech’s Precision Machining Research Consortium in the Manufacturing Research Center.

GibbsCAM Awarded "Certified Select Product" Rating with Solid Edge Version 16

Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software for programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery and controls, announced today that UGS has approved GibbsCAM as a “Certified Select Product” for Solid Edge. The certification process, which is part of the Solid Edge Voyager Partner Program, required completing extensive test procedures using Solid Edge Version 16. The tests, performed rigorously, exercised the integration between Solid Edge and GibbsCAM, to ensure a continued high-level of interoperability between the latest versions of the two applications.
